Wellfield B&B is an elegant 1930's residence with superb sea views over Lyme Bay, standing in its own grounds in a quiet residential area of Seaton, Wellfield B&B is only 15 minutes walk to town & beach. Wellfield B&B has a choice of 3 top quality rooms with wonderful sea or woodland views.
Seaton is a seaside town on the south coast of England close to the border between Devon and Dorset. Lyme Regis is 8 miles to the east of Seaton and Sidmouth is 10 miles to the West.
There is a selection of restaurants nearby with a choice of cuisine styles. Most of the Public Houses offer food at lunchtimes and evenings.
Further afield there is the renowned River Cottage Canteen 7 miles away in Axminster. Closer still is the Wheelwrights Inn in Colyford a 5 Minute Drive away and winners Great British Pub Awards 2009 - Best Dining Pub South West, Hall and Woodhouse - Best Food Pub 2009, or closer still 1 Mile away is the Harbour Inn in Axmouth.
A 25 minute walk along the South West Coastal Path or a 5 minute drive takes you to the picturesque fishing village of Beer with the choice of Resturants as well as the Dolphin Hotel and the Anchor Inn both offering excellent food.
Nearby attractions to Wellfield House B&B include Axmouth Harbour and the Seaton Marshes Nature Reserve which is one of East Devon's prime sites for birdwatchers espcially in the winter months. Seaton Tramways is near the town centre with its narrow gauge heritage trams which travel between Seaton, Colyford and Colyton through the Axe Valley.
River Cottage HQ at Park Farm Musbury is Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall's base for running courses and events is only a 15 minute drive away from Wellfield House B&B making it the perfect base for those attending one of the River Cottage events.
Accommodation Details
We offer 3 High quality and comfortable rooms.
The first is a De-Lux double en-suite with king size bed & wonderful sea views.
The second is a double room with a balcony giving stunning views over the bay. This room has a washbasin and a private bathroom.
The third is a double en-suite with rear garden & woodland views.
They have LCD TV, hairdryers and tea/coffee making facilities.
The Reception Hallway offers comfortable chairs where guests may feel free to relax and browse through books and magazines.
French doors lead out to the guests own private garden. Our aim is to make sure that you have an enjoyable and relaxing holiday.
All the bedrooms are sunny,bright and decorated to a high standard with new very comfortable beds.
The rooms have flat screen digital tv's with hairdryer, alarm clock plus tea and coffee making facilities with biscuits. Bathrooms have power showers and complimentary toiletries.
Breakfast
Breakfast can be either in the elegant dining room over looking the garden or al fresco on the terrace.
Free range, local and fresh produce is used whenever possible.
Vegetarians can be catered for by prior arrangement.
Please let us know beforehand of any dietary requirements. Breakfast is served between 8.30am and 9.30am
