Keystone Lodge Hotel is set in 3 acres of ground near Branscombe in East Devon, 5 minutes drive from the World Heritage Jurassic Coast.
Branscombe stretches along a narrow lane through steep-sided valleys, finishing at a shingle beach, Branscombe Mouth, which forms part of the East Devon and Dorset Jurassic Coast. To either side of the beach, the coast rises steeply to cliffs, which are in the ownership of the National Trust.
The hotel is close to the regency town of Sidmouth and historic Lyme Regis 3 miles from the fishing village of Beer and 6 miles from Seaton. We are only 20 - 25 minutes drive from Exeter and Exeter Airport.
If your idea of the perfect holiday is to be surrounded by superb coastal and countryside scenery in the part of Devon that many other tourists don't reach, then this is the area for you.
Relaxing in front of the wood burning fire or watching for deer or badgers in the garden can all be part of your stay.
We find that whatever our visitor's interests - walking, cycling, wildlife, fishing, boating, arts, country crafts, local history or pottering around the unique and individual shops unlike those found on major high streets - many return year after year simply because the surroundings are so lovely and they find their holiday so relaxing.
Accommodation Details
We have 7 Guest accommodation suites and we ensure that all guests receive individual attention at all times.
Guest suites
Guest suites are furnished to a high standard, with each having two bedrooms: one with a double bed and one with bunk beds.
All suites have a shaver point, hair dryer, tea/coffee making facilities, flat screen TV/DVD players, radio alarm and a selection of complimentary toiletries.
A well equipped kitchen for the sole use of guests provides a large sink, fridge/freezer, kettle, bottle steriliser, microwave and ironing facilities.
The sitting Room
The sitting room, situated in the original building, has a beamed ceiling and a selection of comfortable sofas and armchairs. Coffee, tea and mints are served here after dinner and in the winter; these can be enjoyed in the warm glow of a wood-burning stove. There is a separate Television Lounge with DVD player.
Breakfasts and evening meals
Breakfasts and evening meals are served in our restaurant. All meals are freshly cooked with the menu changing daily. Wherever possible we use locally sourced suppliers for really fresh seasonal produce and organic food at its best.
Vegetarian and Special diets can be catered for and if someone has a birthday do tell, cakes and candles are fun for all ages.
Our Fully Licensed Restaurant is open to residents and non-residents, with evening meals being served from 8.00pm.
Ample Off road Parking is available to our Guests.
